1,700 Satpol PP Personnel on Standby to Smoothen Presidential Inauguration

As many as 1,700 personnel of Jakarta Satpol PP are on standby to help secure the series of events for the inauguration of the President and Vice President for 2024-2029 period. The deployment of personnel and security has begun on October 18-20, 2024.

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin stated the personnel were tasked with providing security around the hotels and routes that would be passed by state guests, starting from Soekarno Hatta Airport to hotels where they were staying.

"Including the route from Halim Airport and the route that will be crossed by the President and Vice President from their residence to MPR/DPR Building, some of which continue to the Merdeka Palace. Approximately 1,700 personnel will be deployed," he expressed, Friday (10/18).

He instructed all Satpol PP personnel on duty to always be alert and careful in anticipating things that cause disturbances to public order and tranquility.

"We must be able to work together to help control the happiness and joy of the Indonesian people, especially those in Jakarta, in welcoming this leadership process, so that it runs safely, smoothly, and orderly," he explained.

He appealed to the public to avoid the routes that will be used by state guests and entertainment stages along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin.

"If you can join in paying your respects and joining in the excitement (of the inauguration of President and Vice President) along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin there are places prepared for entertainment stages," he explained.

Residents who are not concerned are directed to avoid the routes because traffic engineering is in effect.

"We apologize if there are any disruptions during the journey because this is purely to facilitate the implementation process," he closed.
