30 Unlicensed Dorms Found in Senen

As an effort to anticipate dorm misuse as prostitution site, drugs
and terrorist, the city administration continues to collect data and hold raid
against dorms in the capital.
Presently, there have been 98 dorms that collected, where 68 out of them have operational licenses and the rest 30 dorms have no licenses
Senen Sub-District in Central Jakarta for instance, around 98
dorms’ data were collected. Thus far, the data collection has been done in six urban
villages in Senen Sub-Districts such as Senen, Paseban, Bungur, Kwitang, Kenari
and Kramat.
“Presently, there have been 98 dorms that collected, where 68 out of them have operational licenses and the
rest 30 dorms have no licenses,” said Senen Vice Mayor, Prasetyo Kurniawan,
Wednesday (5/13).
Therefore, the dorm owners urged to process the license
immediately in Senen Sub-District One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP). While for
the dorm occupants who have no ID-Card urged to process the letter of temporary domicile (SKDS).
“As for the occupants who still have ID-Card in their old domicile, should report to the office of Central Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department in sub-district. Then for the dorms which have more than 10 rooms will be collected as taxpayer and be listed on tax identification numbers,” he disclosed.
