PPSU Transforms Illegal Parking in Cipinang into Park

Five PPSU personnel from Cipinang Urban Village, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, transformed the illegal parking area on Jalan Cipinang Bunder RW 06 into a park and a pedestrian.

Because it's chaotic, many cars are illegally parked there

Cipinang Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Hendrayanto said it was conducted on a 150-square-meter-wide land where the land was previously messy because it was overgrown with weeds and also an illegal parking. It has been ongoing since last week.

"Because it's chaotic, many cars are illegally parked there. That's why we transform it into a park and a pedestrian," he expressed, Tuesday (10/22).

To move broken-down cars, his party involved the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency to tow them, while those that were still working were moved by the owner.

He would also collaborate with the Bina Marga Sub-agency to build a pedestrian equipped with a storm drain in order to smoothen water flow in the channel.

"It has been ongoing since last week, we are targeting completion in December," he stated.
