Food Products at Four Traditional Markets and One Supermarket Safe for Consumption

"We ensure that all food products sold in this traditional market are free from dangerous chemicals," he expressed.

He explained it is a routine agenda and conducted randomly. If scheduled, the operation would leak first and the results would not be optimal.

"It also aims to check the prices of commodities on the market," he concluded.

East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Acting Head, Iwan Indriyanto explained those markets monitored were Ciracas, Kramat Jati, Pasar Cibubur, Cijantung, Jambul, and Lokbin Makasar.

In total, 156 samples of livestock and agricultural products were taken from six markets to be examined in two laboratory cars that were on standby at Ciracas Market.

The samples taken consisted of agricultural and livestock commodities. Among them: vegetables, fruits, rice, chicken, beef, and tendons.
