S. Jakarta KPU Deploys 22,890 KKPS for Jakarta Regional Election

South Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) is about to deploy 22,890 local polling administrator (KPPS)s during the Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) on November 27, 2024.

South Jakarta KPU Chairman, Muhammad Taqiyuddin, said these KPPS officers are residents who registered online or were recorded by the Voting Committee (PPS) from each urban village in South Jakarta.

"The 22,890 KPPS will be inaugurated on November 7," he said, Monday (10/28).

Currently, the KPPS is still completing the administrative files until it is finally announced after going through the process of selection.

Technical guidance as education and to align understanding regarding the Pilkada will be provided after selection process.

Through the technical guidance, he added, will emphasize the main tasks and functions of the KPPS regarding the use of tools and goods.

According to him, KPU also prepares a mobile ballot box to serve disabled voters to ensure that they user their right.

"There is a resident suffering stroke and registered at TPS 1. KPPS office accompanied by a TPS supervisor and witnesses will visit it by bringing the mobile ballot box," he added.

Taqiyuddin stated that South Jakarta KPU will also ensure the availability of visual aids at each TPS to facilitate the disabled.
