Jakarta Water Resource (SDA) Agency ensures the readiness of fleet, infrastructure and personnel in order to face rainy season. The effort is aimed to maximize the flood handling.

Acting Jakarta Water Resource Agency Head, Ika Agustin Ningrum, said the readiness includes the operation of pump units and heavy equipment as well as cross-agency cooperation to minimize the flood impact.
Ika explained that the agency has 577 good condition of stationary pumps spread across 202 locations. Then 557 mobile pumps and 254 heavy equipment units are also operating well. As many as 6,941 personnel on standby namely pump operators and taskforces.

According to her, water channel and reservoir dredging are still being run. Based on the data, 605,498.99 cubic meter of sediment had been dredged up to October 2024.
"Water catchment areas are also prepared to optimize the storing water," she added.
She admitted that Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi gave direction for all personnel and operator to cooperate well and maintain consistency. Hopefully cooperation across Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) and mayor's support will maximize the flood handling.
"Acting Governor reminded that flood handling is also responsibility of all OPD," she admitted.
As for information, Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) stated that rainy season starts now. It is predicted that the rainy season peak will be in February 2025.
