Dredging of Teratai Connecting Channel in Cipete Selatan Completed

The Cilandak Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Task Force has completed the dredging of the Teratai Connecting Channel on Jalan Asem II, Cipete Selatan Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, South Jakarta has been completed.

It is done because there has been shallowing

Cilandak Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Yansori said the channel draining with a width of 200 centimeters by 150 centimeters was conducted along 10 meters.

"It is done because there has been shallowing due to mud sediment and garbage. The thickness of the sediment reaches 40 centimeters," he expressed, Monday (10/21).

He explained that the work started on October 10, 2024, and involved eight personnel.

"Every day, we can pick up around 20 sacks of mud and garbage," he explained.

According to him, it is an anticipatory step to prevent puddles and flooding, especially during the rainy season.

"We will continue to optimize efforts to increase the channel's capacity and ensure that water can flow smoothly," he explained.

The work received appreciation received from one of the residents, Efriyanto (43).

"It is perfect to do it before the rainy season. Therefore, I think this mud dredging is quite good," he stated.
