Dozens of Satpol PP officers were deployed along Jalan Diponegoro, Kenari Urban Village, Senen, Central Jakarta to prevent the street vendors using the place as trading place again.

Senen Sub-District Vice, Prasetyo Kurniawan said, the guard was held after the raid of 40 illegal street vendor's kiosks and carts in the location some time ago.

"As many as 30 Satpol PP officers were deployed to guard the area until now," told Prasetyo, Friday (5/15).

He added, his side will guard the area until the situation in the location is really conducive so the street vendors won't re-occupy the sidewalk and disturbing pedestrians who pass it.

"We also asked all building's owner to participate and contribute keeping the sidewalks environment clean and free from street vendors," he said.
