Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi, led the Declaration of Neutrality of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) under Jakarta Provincial Government and TNI-Police at Grand Mercure Hotel, Jalan Gajah Mada, Central Jakarta, Thursday (11/14).
The Regional Head Election (Pilkada) is close already
It was attended by the ranks of the Jakarta Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), representatives of ASN, General Election Commission (KPU), and Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) from six areas of Jakarta.
He appreciated Bawaslu for conducting the declaration activity. It could strengthen the synergy between the ranks of the Election organizers, be it Bawaslu, KPU, security forces, or other stakeholders, to maintain the neutrality of Jakarta ASNs.
Acting Governor Teguh Supports Pilkada Implementation with Integrity and Ethics"The Regional Head Election (Pilkada) is close already. November 27, 2024 is only two weeks away. To maintain the neutrality of ASN, we hope that we can later realize a dignified and integrity-based Pilkada," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release, Thursday (11/14).
He asserted the Jakarta Government is committed to making the Pilkada a success, thus it can take place directly, publicly, freely, secretly, honestly, fairly, with dignity and integrity. Since the beginning, the Jakarta Government has provided full support for the implementation of the Pilkada, such as the obligation of grants that have been implemented smoothly, preparing logistics storage, coordinating with the Jakarta Forkopimda and forming the Pilkada Work Unit Element Support (DESK) to support the smooth running of the Pilkada in Jakarta.
According to him, maintaining ASN neutrality is one of Jakarta Government's important tasks. A total of 64,135 ASNs, both Civil Servants and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK), as well as 121,803 employees in community institutions, must maintain their neutrality in holding the Pilkada.
"If there are ASN or community organization personnel who are indicated as not being neutral, even if there are policies of the Jakarta Government that are tendentious, not neutral or not in accordance with the provisions of the Laws and Regulations, please report and let us know," he asserted.
To increase ASN awareness and enforce neutrality, he said the Jakarta Government has made various efforts, including socialization and technical guidance, making circulars and appeals on various social media platforms, as well as signing an integrity pact and ASN neutrality declaration.
The Jakarta Government would also follow up on the Central Government's direction in enforcing ASN neutrality. One of them is related to the policy of providing social assistance (bansos) which will be held after the Pilkada.
"I assure you, I will bring the ranks of Jakarta Government to be neutral. We're ready to be neutral. There are no other things that we do, except wanting to support the success of the Jakarta Pilkada which is free, fair, dignified, and has integrity. Once again, we are committed to maintaining the neutrality of ASN under the Jakarta Government," he explained.
Jakarta Bawaslu Chair, Munandar Nugraha stated today's activity was to strengthen the joint commitment between the Jakarta Provincial Government, TNI, Police, and the Attorney General's Office. Thus, all ranks could ensure that the Pilkada in Jakarta was conducted with dignity and integrity.
"Today's signing of the Declaration of Neutrality for ASN, TNI, Police, and Prosecutor's Office will hopefully be part of our steps to ensure that the implementation of the Jakarta Pilkada is not harmed by the non-neutrality of ASN, TNI, Police and Prosecutor's Office," he closed.
