Six trees on Jalan Raya Di Panjaitan, Rawa Bunga, Jatinegara, Monday (11/18), were pruned by East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's Green Taskforce.

Personnel were pruning the trees manually to anticipate fallen trees

Jatinegara Sub-district's City Park and Forestry Implementer Unit Head, Asep Budi said Pruning was carried out because the tree branches were very shady and hanging down, blocking the lighting of the public street lights.

Budi continued the pruning was also aimed to reduce tree load that can trigger thus it will not easily fall during heavy rain and strong wind.

"Personnel were pruning the trees manually to anticipate fallen trees," he said.

One of the personnel, Riky Subagya, stated those six pruned trees diameter were 20-25 cm with 13 meter of height.

"We climb it to do pruning," he stated.
