Bad Performance, 56 Echelon III and IV Demoted

based on beritajakarta.com observation, in Echelon III level, the demotion committed against two officials of Jakarta Development Planning Board (Bappeda), two officials of Financial and Asset Management Body (BPKAD), an official of Jakarta Employment Agency (BKD), an official of Jakarta Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD), an official in Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, two officials of City Layout Department, an official of Education Department, an official of Jakarta Housing and Government Building Department, an official of Transportation Department, and three officials of Tax Service Department (DPP).

Meanwhile, as many as 41 Echelon IV officials who demoted consisting 3 officials of Libraries and Archives Body, two officials of Cleanliness Department, two officials of Jakarta Public Information Communication Services Department, eight of City Management Department, an official of Jakarta Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Agency (KUMKMP), three officials of Educational Department, an official of Sport and Youth Department, an official of Culture and Tourism Department, an official of Industry and Energy Department, an official of Park and Cemetery Department, two officials in Water Management Department, three officials of Bina Marga Department, an official of Satpol PP DKI, an official of Central Jakarta Administration, an official of North Jakarta Administration, an official of West Jakarta Administration, an official of South Jakarta Administration, seven officials of East Jakarta Administration, and one official of Thousand Islands Regency.

Jakarta Employment Agency (BKD) Head, Agus Suradika said, the officials were demoted because many factors. "They were demoted due to many factors, such as bad performance, there is no effort to improve themselves, have bad attitude, and involves in crimes," he told

According to Suradika, the demotions were given based on performance assessment by Echelon I and II who lead in each Provincial Working Unit.

"If the officials can give good performance, they only need rotated. But, if they are demoted, it means they cannot change their behavior and performance anymore," he explained.

Suradika hoped, the performance in government will run better because this official reshuffle especially in giving service to the citizen and infrastructure building in capital. "We hope the reshuffle will give positive impact so the officials will give better performance in government," he told.
