The Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) received the Jakarta Public Relations Award 2024 in the Best Audiovisual Media category. This award was given for an innovative socialization video work that highlights the importance of tackling air pollution in Jakarta.

Jakarta LH Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto expressed his gratitude for this achievement. He assessed, this award is real evidence of the LH Agency's commitment to continue educating the public about environmental issues, especially air pollution.

“This achievement three times in a row shows how important innovative communication strategies are in supporting government programs. We're very grateful to all Jakarta residents who have supported the LH Agency's programs," he explained, Friday (11/22).
The video that won the Best Audiovisual Media category contains an invitation to the public to care more about air quality. With an inspiring narrative and strong visuals, the video emphasizes simple steps that everyone can take, such as using public transportation, reducing the use of private vehicles, and implementing other environmentally friendly lifestyles.
"Air pollution is a real problem and needs our attention. This video was created to convey the message that every small step, such as taking public transportation, cycling, and walking can have a big impact in creating cleaner air for Jakarta," he explained.
He went on to say that the LH Agency also made strategic partnerships with public transportation operators, such as MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta, to expand the reach of the message. These educational videos were shown on MRT station screens, Transjakarta bus stops, and various other public spaces, including outdoor LED screens.
"We work with operators to ensure that these messages are delivered widely and effectively to the public," he continued.
Through screening in strategic public spaces, Jakarta residents were expected to be more educated and inspired to take part in maintaining air quality.
"We greatly appreciate the support of Jakarta residents who have contributed through real steps and continue to support our various programs. Hope this award will be a shared motivation to continue moving toward a better Jakarta," he closed.
