Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin appeals Jakarta Transportation Agency to keep socializing traffic order for residents, including students.

Khoirudin hopes traffic order socialization is able to decrease the number of accident and fatalities.

"Transportation Agency can also remind the public and socialize traffic regulation during its patrol. Residents need to be reminded not to be careless, negligent, and not play with their cellphones while driving," he said, Friday (11/29).

According to him, problem with vehicle or human negligence can trigger accident.

Khoirudin also asks relevant authorities to take firm action against traffic violators. It means the public can be more orderly in traffic.

"Police personnel also do patrol to enforce the regulation," he added.

Khoirudin continued that traffic order socialization must also be conducted to students. Furthermore, there are many electric bicycles now.

"Our students should know that electric bicycles may not enter the main roads," he stated.
