The Jakarta Education Agency (Disdik) says the funds for Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU) Phase II 2024 will be disbursed in stages starting December 6, 2024.
This KJP Plus funds disbursement varies depending on the level of education
Based on the data, 523,622 students were KJP Plus recipients, and 15,648 students were KJMU recipients. 242,919 of them were KJP Plus recipients at the elementary/Islamic elementary school level, 147,341 were recipients at the junior high school/MTs level, 48,876 were recipients at the senior high school level, and 1,083 were recipients at the privately run learning and teaching center (PKBM) level.
"This KJP Plus funds disbursement varies depending on the level of education. Meanwhile, the funds received by KJMU beneficiary students is Rp 9,000,000 per semester," expressed Jakarta Disdik Head, Purwosusilo, Tuesday (12/3).
Acting Governor: Scholarship Recipients in Jakarta Must Receive Education RightsHe explained the disbursement was made after the completion of the account opening process, printing of savings books and ATMs, submission of savings books and ATMs, and transfer of funds to the recipient's account by Bank DKI.
Previously, the Disdik apologized for the delay in its disbursement. He continued, based on the Home Minister's Circular Letter Number 800.1.12.4/5814/SJ on Postponement of Social Assistance Distribution, the Disdik postponed the distribution of social assistance sourced from the City Budget (APBD) until after the voting day on November 27, 2024. It was done to minimize the potential for misuse of social assistance as a political tool.
However, this social assistance budget would be received by people who needed it on target.
"Hopefully, this assistance in the field of education can improve the quality of education for students in Jakarta who come from underprivileged families. By so, Jakartans get quality education to build the Golden Generation 2045," he hoped.
