The incident of Transjakarta bus fuming in Senen, Central Jakarta, last Wednesday(5/20), seize the attention of Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat. The second man in Jakarta Provincial Government asked PT Transportasi Jakarta to check the bus periodically thus the same incident would not happen again.

The former Mayor of Blitar claimed that he got a report related to the incident. "I got a report that it was caused by oil leak. The most important is its maintenance. Don't just buy it," he asserted, at City Hall, Thursday (5/21).

Even so, he refused if management diversion from Communications and Transportation Department(Dishubtrans) to PT Transportasi Jakarta is not maximal yet as it is still conducted gradually. "It's not like that. Yet both Communications and Transportation Department and PT Transportasi Jakarta should be completely careful repairing and maintaining the bus," he told.

As known on last Wednesday(5/20) Transjakarta bus B 7461 TX fuming on Pasar Senen Bus Stop, Central Jakarta. Based on the report of Traffic Management Center(TMC) for Metro Jaya Regional Police , the incident was happened at 8 AM. The passengers was panic and broke the bus glasses to get out of the bus.

The incident of the burnt Transjakarta bus is not the first time. Previously, an articulated bus Zhong Tong branded route Pinang Ranti-Pluit also burnt on Jalan Gatot Subroto, on Sunday(3/8). The same incident also happened on August 28, 2014, a Transjakarta bus route Kalideres-Blok M burnt on Masjid Agung Al-Azhar Bus Stop, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. On April 8, 2014, a Transjakarta bus serving on Corridor IV Pulogadung-Dukuh Atas burnt on Pasar Rumput, Manggarai, South Jakarta.
