Jacking System Water Channel Construction in Cibubur Completed

The construction of water channel with jacking system on Jalan Raya Jambore, Cibubur, Ciracas, East Jakarta worked on July 18 ago, is now completed, Monday (12/9). The Provisional Hand Over from the third party has been also done.

East Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency's Development Section Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri said technically the project has been completed on November 29 ago.

Before implementing the provisional hand over, he added, his side run a test by spraying 15,000 liters water to the channel. As the result, the water receded in 20-25 minutes.

"The Provisional Hand Over from the third party was held today since the work is fully complete," he said, Monday (12/9).

Saugi optimistic that the jacking water channel is able to handle 40-80 cm inundation that occurs on Jalan Jambore Cibubur. It was proven that the area was no longer inundated during heavy rain some time ago.

"This jacking water channel construction has been awaited by the residents since the surrounding area is often inundated during long time-heavy rain," he added.

The water channel is made along 370 meters starting from the bend near a steel shop up to SMPN 147.

Channel materials use concrete u-ditch 150x150x120 cm, box culvert 120x110x100 cm, and u-ditch 80x80x120 cm.

"U-ditch and box culvert concrete materials are installed at varying depths between three and six meters," he stated.
