Five Banyan Trees on Jalan Kedoya Raya Pruned

To anticipate falling trees, the West Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut) has pruned five banyan trees on Jalan Kedoya Raya, RW 02, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district.

It aims to follow up residents' request

Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Tamhut Executing Unit Head, Sholahudin said tree pruning involved six personnel with heavy and light pruning categories using chainsaws.

"It aims to follow up residents' request, because of dense and tall trees until about electric cables," he expressed, Monday (12/9).

By so, it could minimize tree's load and fallen trees during heavy rain accompanied by strong winds.

"Lately, the weather has been very extreme so we are pruning trees to protect the passing people and vehicle," he explained.

The action above received appreciation from one of residents from Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Yayan.

"Weather is extreme and we are worried this will cause trees to fall," he stressed.
