Nine Trees in Ciracas and Kramat Jati Pruned

Nine shady prone to fall trees in Kramat Jati and Ciracas Sub-districts, East Jakarta, Tuesday (12/10), were pruned by City Park and Forestry taskforce personnel.

Kramat Jati Sub-district's City Park and Forestry Implementer Unit, Lilik Winarti said there were six trees pruned in two different locations.

Five Banyan Trees on Jalan Kedoya Raya Pruned

Those are on Jalan Raya Inpres RW 04 Tengah Urban village by five banyan trees with 70 cm of diameter and on Jalan Peternakan Tengah Urban Village by one banyan tree.

She admitted the trees pruning were based on residents' report via CRM application.

"The trees were too shady and prone to fall during heavy rain accompanied with strong wind," she said.

Meanwhile, one Tanjung tree with 40 cm of diameter and eight meter of height was pruned on Jalan Penganten Ali, Ciracas Sub-district.

Then one Glodogan tree with 60 cm of diameter and 10 meter of height on Jalan Raya Centex, and one Mahoney tree with 50 cm of diameter and nine meter of height on Jalan Raya PKP.

Ciracas Sub-district's City Park and Forestry Implementer Unit Head, Hani Hartini, explained the pruning was not only to avoid fallen tree, but also to give brighter lighting since the shady leaves blocked the public street light.

"We deployed 21 personnel to prune trees in different locations," she admitted.
