Dishub Gears Up for Year-end Vacation Travel Season

To ensure and smooth Christmas and New Year celebrations, Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is about to provide extra security in Jakarta from December 18, 2024 to January 5, 2025.

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo stated preparations were continuing to be made to ensure the comfort and safety of people traveling during that period.

His agency had prepared four main terminals (type A), namely Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, Tanjung Priok Terminal, Kalideres Terminal, and Kampung Rambutan Terminal.

"Tanjung Priok Terminal was revitalized already. The same action is also spotted in other terminals to ensure convenient facilities for passengers," he expressed, Wednesday (12/11).

Aside that, there are three supporting terminals prepared, namely Grogol Terminal, Pasar Minggu Terminal, and Rawamangun Terminal. "But, the use of these terminals is after the bus capacity in the four main terminals is no longer sufficient," he explained.

As for the health post, it would be set up at the main and supporting terminal to ensure travel safety. Then health checks on drivers would be conducted to ensure they were fit to drive buses.

"We have to make sure all drivers are in good health when serving the public," he explained.

He added the pre-ramp check period has been started since early December 2024. As a result, buses found to have damage were asked to be repaired immediately by the operator.

"The point is each bus must meet technical and roadworthy requirements before serving passengers," he stressed.
