ITJ's Walking Tour Educates People to Use Integrated Public Transportation

PT Integrasi Transit Jakarta (ITJ)invited 40 people to participate a Walking Tour namely 'Exploring The Transit Spaces'. They are invited to explore Jakarta from a different perspective through Transit Oriented Development (TOD).

PT Integrasi Transit Jakarta Senior Vice President-Corporate Secretary, Legal and Strategy, Teuku Firmansyah said the program was aimed to provide more insight about sustainable urban planning.

"We invited 40 participants to gather at Taman Literasi Library Blok M, then took the MRT to Lebak Bulus-Point Square Pedestrian Bridge, Dukuh Atas MRT, Taman Kudus and ended at Dukuh Atas JPM," he said, Sunday (12/15).
Teuku hopes this program can boost public response to understand well the Transit Oriented Area (KBT) built by the government.
The program, he continued, also aims community to care more and promote, and invite other people to use public transportation rather than private vehicles in welcoming Jakarta as a global city.
"It's just the beginning. We'll provide similar program later with more participants," he added.
Meanwhile, one of the participants, Tika (45) stated the program is interesting by giving knowledge or understanding to participants related the Jakarta's future urban planning after it is no longer the capital city.
"I hope the government will focus more on integration combining regions such as Tangerang and South Tangerang in public transportation," she stated.
