Rainy Season, Tree Pruning in Sawah Besar Intensified

The Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut) has been intensifying tree pruning along Jalan Karang Anyar Raya, Samanhudi, and Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta, Sawah Besar Sub-district. It has been ongoing since Thursday (12/12).

Until the end of last week, eight trees had been pruned and will be recontinued this week

Sawah Besar Sub-district Vice Head, Andre Ravnic said tree pruning was done to anticipate fallen trees and was targeted for completion in two weeks.

"Those streets are indeed busy. That's why tree pruning is intensified to minimize disaster during the rainy season," he expressed, Monday (12/16).

He explained the first action was spotted on Jalan Karang Anyar Raya and would be continued to Jalan Samanhudi and Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta.

"We've coordinated this matter with the Tamhut in Sawah Besar Sub-district for further action," he asserted.

Sawah Besar Sub-district Tamhut Executing Unit Head, M Yoga explained the same action was also spotted at Jalan Jembatan Merah, Pisang Batu, and Jalan Krekot Bunder Raya.

"Until the end of last week, eight trees had been pruned and will be recontinued this week," he stated.
