"A visit to this museum can directly touch the younger generation so that they know about our culture and history," he explained.
Therefore, Thamrin requested that the Education Agency (Disdik) together with the Culture Agency (Disbud) increase efforts to promote the museum as a tourist destination to various schools.
"We want the museum to be a tourist destination for young generations," he stressed.
He hoped that it would be modernized by involving young people who have an interest in and skills related to museum management.
"Dinsos can recruit young people who have skills and abilities as well as a vision for managing a museum," he explained.
He added museums could be managed more interactively and educationally by utilizing technology. He believes that young people who are creative and innovative can make museums an attractive place for students to visit.
"We need creative and innovative young people to manage museums to make them more contemporary and more popular with young people," he said.
