2,000 Satpol PP Personnel on Standby to Secure Christmas and New Year

Jakarta Satpol PP is ready to assist securing celebration of Christmas and New Year.

2,000 Satpol PP personnel will be deployed in Jakarta areas

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Satriadi Gunawan said his side prepares various strategic steps to secure the praying houses, vital object and crowd center, including new year's eve.

"The implementation of worship in churches and tourist attractions become our focus. Satpol PP will also support the security of activity organized by Jakarta Provincial Government and the community during new year celebration," he said, Thursday (12/19).

As the final preparation, Satriadi added, the rollcall will be held on December 20, 2024.

"2,000 Satpol PP personnel will be deployed in Jakarta areas," he added.

Not only in strategic areas, he continued, the personnel will also standby on flood posts as anticipation of extreme weather during Christmas and New Year.

"We have cooperated with City Police and three pillars to anticipate potential vulnerabilities, including weather conditions which currently have high rainfall," he continued.

Satriadi stated that Jakarta Satpol PP ensures the safety and comfort for religious activities and new year celebration through this preparation.

"Christmas and new year celebrations become our priority. Hopefully there will be no flood during the period," he stated.
