The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) is holding a Christmas Creative Market event at Lapangan Banteng Field, Gambir, Central Jakarta which will last for two days, from Sunday (12/22) to Monday (12/23).

Jakarta Disparekraf's Economy Creative Section Head, Puji Hastuti said today's Christmas Creative Market is a form of Jakarta Government's support to enliven the Christmas celebrations for Christians and Jakarta people in general.

"We're cooperating with PPKUKM Agency by presenting 70 MSMEs and the creative economy to participate in this bazaar. The bazaar starts operating from 6 AM to 8 PM," she stated, Sunday (12/22).

She explained that the bazaar participants consisted of culinary, fashion, craft, and Christmas knickknacks business actors. Besides presenting a bazaar, there was also an entertainment stage.

Even, the capital celebrities and bands such as Dul Jaelani, Krisna Trias, Moscato Band, and Mark Pieters will perform to entertain visitors to the event from 9 AM to 8 PM.

"It's open to the public," she added.

Jakarta Disparekraf Head, Andika Permata explained it is one of a series of events to welcome Christmas celebrations until New Year's Eve.

She hoped that residents could take advantage of various activities and not choose to leave town to return to their hometown or go on vacation.

"I also hope that the series of activities prepared will have an impact on improving the economy," she hoped.
