Djarot Minta Proyek MRT Dipercepat

Djarot: MRT Project Should Be Accelerated

To immediately normalize public facilities such as pedestrian path and sidewalks that cannot be used during development, PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta asked to accelerate the rail-based transportation project development in capital.

We asked the development to be finished on upcoming 2018

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat said, the acceleration is also intended to parse congestion in capital that caused by the project.

"We asked the development to be finished on upcoming 2018. Although not all roads from Lebak Bulus and Kampung Bandan can be used, at least it won't look messy," told Djarot in City Hall, Monday (5/25).

Djarot added, the development should be prioritized on the provincial-owned land because it no longer needs to be acquired. In other side, his party will also accelerate the acquisition process of the citizen’s land which still in progress.

"So, the development can be focused on state-land first, especially in Lebak Bulus. Then, for the land which owned by institution such as Police will also be accelerated because it had been agreed by Mr. President," he told.

As known, on Last Sunday (5/24), Djarot visited the MRT project in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta and found the land acquisition progress had become the main problem in this mega project development.
