Land Acquisition in South Jakarta Already Reached 81.6%

The land acquisition process keeps being carried out to accelerate the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project in Jakarta. One of them is South Jakarta, where its process has almost done and the rest will be discussed this year.

This year is our last chance for us to do discussion. If there is no agreement, it will be consigned

“This year is our last chance for us to do discussion. If there is no agreement, it will be consigned,” said South Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Noor, Friday (5/22).

Mookevart River Project Hampered by Land Acquisition

Noor acknowledged the land acquisition should be accelerated. It is because the MRT project has been entered in physical construction.

“About 81.6% of land was been acquired, most carried out along Jalan Fatmawati,” he expressed.

At this time, he furthered price determination is the authority of appraisal team. By so, the land owners could get the best price.

“Indeed the decision of National Land Agency (BPN) Head since 2007 could be used from appraisal team. The higher calculation is around Rp 35 million per square meter,” he explained.

Previously, Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama after he inaugurated the Bahari RPTRA on Thursday (5/21) stated that the land acquisition for MRT must be completed soon. If not, Jakarta government should disburse the delay compensation funds to contractor.

“If it is late, we have to pay contractor expensively. We may bankrupt and loss Rp 500 billion,” he disclosed.
