The Bentang Harapan JakASA initiated by Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi, is appreciated by many parties. The event also invited former Jakarta Governors.

 Jakarta's transformation from the past to the present

Urban Planning Observer, Yayat Supriyatna appreciated the presence of former Jakarta Governor and Vice Governor at the event. They had different mission and vision, but similar in purpose, to build and advance Jakarta for its resident's welfare.

"Leadership process creates lo ng story of city face. Bentang Harapan JakASA brought positive vibe as it involved former Jakarta leaders to become a bridge that shows how Jakarta's transformation from the past to the present heading to a global city and is welcoming its 500th anniversary," he said, Thursday (1/2).

A countdown to welcome Jakarta's Five Centuries illustrates the continuation of forward step run by Jakarta Provincial Government with residents. Yayat also appreciated it.

"Acting Governor Teguh's idea and concept by gathering the former governors as a sharing the same fate contribution in building Jakarta based on their periods must be appreciated," he added.

According to him, Jakarta is not a new city built based on planning, but through a legacy. The city is now continuing to grow and develop based on an important marker of past history. Dreams of the city's future, as well as solution to overcome challenges in every era is included in the past legacy.

Meanwhile, Religion Minister, Nasaruddin Umar, who also attended the event, said the same.

Nasaruddin assessed that the city was built on high tolerance value as this statement is strengthened through the presence of former Jakarta Governors. He thanked the Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi who already made Jakarta like a small Indonesia.

"The event is extraordinary since it gathered the scattered and united the different. Hopefully Jakarta will become the center of modern Islamic world civilization, center of exemplary equality, religious tolerance and gender equality," he stated.

As for information, Bentang Harapan JakASA was held on Tuesday (12/31) at City Hall. The event was also attended by former Jakarta Governors Sutiyoso, Fauzi Bowo, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Sumarsono, and Anies Baswedan. They wrote their hope for Jakarta's future on a white cloth as symbol of harmony and unity.
