PMI Jaktim Akan Berikan Pelatihan Kesiapsiagaan pada PPSU

E. Jakarta PPSU to Undergo Disaster and Accident Management Training

The East Jakarta Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) is about to hold a training for PPSU in 65 urban villages, focusing on response coordination during disaster relief.

Principally, they have expertise in providing first aid

East Jakarta PMI's Public Relations and Communication Section Head, Agus Bastian said the training plan would be discussed in the coordination meeting with regional heads in mid-January 2025.

According to him, this meeting aimed to determine the training's time and location, and to assure the readiness of the prospective participants.

Petogogan Residents Take Part in Disaster Training

"This is a must. It is hoped that they (PPSU) will become volunteers for East Jakarta PMI," he expressed, Friday (1/3).

He explained they needed to be involved as they work in a community that often encounters traffic accidents, fires, floods, etc. With this training, they could have informed the East Jakarta PMI Headquarters earlier for early handling.

Hopefully, if they had had technical knowledge of handling, they could provide first aid to those who needed it.

"Principally, they have expertise in providing first aid," he stated.
