Under Kampung Melayu Flyover Being Beautified

Under the Kampung Melayu Flyover in Bali Mester Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta is being beautified. In addition to murals, the location will also have a sports facility and an urban farming area.

This is targeted for completion by the end of March 2025

Bali Mester Urban Village Head, Nugroho Maduning expressed that the 2,000-square-meter wide was already prepared for citizen interaction.

"This work has been ongoing for a month, involving cross-sectors," he expressed, Thursday (1/9).

According to him, the location previously had illegal buildings occupied by used goods collectors. Seeing this condition, his party and other related agencies arranged to move them to the Rawa Bebek Flats, Cakung.

"Especially for under flyover arrangement, we send ten PPSU personnel to the location. We also get support from task forces of Bina Marga, Bina Marga, Parks and City Forest, and SDA," he explained.

He added personnel painted a mural on the wall of the flyover pillar with the theme of nationality, diversity, and tolerance between religious communities. There was also urban farming land and sports facilities such as jogging tracks and futsal or basketball fields.

"This is targeted for completion by the end of March 2025," he closed.
