Four Pumps Deployed to Handle Inundation Around JIS

There were four pumps were deployed to handle inundation around Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Jalan RE Martadinata, Papanggo Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, Tuesday (1/14).

Now the inundation recedes fully

North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency Head, Ahmad Syaiful explained his side deployed one pump with capacity of 150 liter per second and two floating pumps with each capacity of 50 liter per second.

Then the Ciliwung and Cisadane River Center (BBSWCC) also deployed one mobile pump.

"We have deployed three pumps since morning. Then another one pump was also deployed from BBSWCC," he explained, Tuesday (1/14).

He said that the 10 cm inundation around the JIS area was triggered by tidal wave and heavy rain that poured since morning until noon.

"We pumped the water from the road to longstorage of Ancol near the location," he said.

The inundation around JIS area started to recede at noon and then fully receded in the afternoon.

"Now the inundation recedes fully and traffic flow runs smoothly," he stated.
