39,828 Trees Planted Throughout 2024

The Jakarta Provincial Government continues to promote tree planting program. Not only it can make the environmentment greener, but tree planting can also improve air quality and reduce flooding.

"Tree planting is our strategic move,"

Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency's Data and Information Center Head, Ivan Murcahyo said that 39,828 trees have been planted in Jakarta throughout 2024, including shady and productive trees.

During the same period, his side also planted 5,477,680 ornamental and medicinal plants and 51,188 mangrove trees.

"Tree planting is our strategic move to maintain the balance of city's ecosystem while enhancing the aesthetics of public spaces," he mentioned, Wednesday (1/15).

He conveyed that Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency is committed to continue the tree planting program in the coming years.

"Thus a sustainable and environmentally friendly city of Jakarta can be achieved," he stated.
