8,334 Trees in North Jakarta Pruned and Cut Down Along 2024

From January to December 2024, as many as 8,334 trees prone to fall in North Jakarta were pruned by the North Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut).

This action will keep being intensified but periodically

Green Belt and Cemetery Section Head, Habib Prabandoko stated that of 8,334 trees pruned, 655 were pruned at minor level, 5,975 were pruned at medium level, 1,404 were pruned at heavy level, and 300 were cut down.

In 2023, he admitted, personnel pruned 10,526 trees, consisting of 2,006 were prunes at minor level, 6,587 were pruned at medium level, 1,660 were pruned at heavy level, and 276 were cut down.

He explained the types of trees pruned and cut down were Angsana, Tabebuya, Mahogany, and Tanjung.

"This action will keep being intensified but periodically," he explained, Saturday (1/11).

In 2024, he added, 196 trees fell and 19 other trees were broken. Lastly, in 2023, 136 trees fell anf 53 were broken.
