Illegaly Parked Vehicles in Kebayoran Baru Controlled

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency controlled illegal parking on three different roads in Kebayoran Baru Sub-district. As the result, 13 vehicles were netted.

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Bernard Octavianus Pasaribu, said the controlling run on Monday (1/20) was held on Jalan Senopati, Jalan Gunawarman, and Jalan Wolter Monginsidi.

"We controlled the vehicles to guarantee the public facility users' right especially pedestrian," he said, Tuesday (1/21).

Bernard detailed nine motorcycles were flattened, one motorcycle and two cars were ticketed, and one car was towed.

"The sanctions were given to give deterrent effect for owners for not parking their vehicles illegally," he added.

During the controlling, 50 joint personnel of Transportation Sub-agency, Satpol PP, Army and Police were involved.

"Not only giving sanction, personnel also conducting socialization for reesidents related to sanctions if they violate parking regulation," he continued.

Moreover, South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency's Operational Handling, Ebenezer Tobing explained the joint personnel controlled valet parking officer who used sidewalk as parking area.

"The vehicles were towed and Satpol PP gave letter of warning for valet parking company," he stated.
