City and Kejati Forge Cooperation for Good Government Governance

The Jakarta Provincial Government, collaborated with BUMD in the field of Civil and State Administration with Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati).

At that time, a loan was also signed for land belonging to Jakarta Government located on Jalan Yos Sudarso, to support the operations of the North Jakarta District Attorney's Office.

The signing took place at Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office Hall, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Tuesday (1/21).

Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi said he welcomed the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Jakarta Government and BUMD with the High Prosecutor's Office.

"This is a joint commitment to realize regional government and BUMD governance," he expressed.

At the same location, he also signed a loan agreement for a 4,500-square-meter-wide plot of land to support the operations of the North Jakarta District Attorney's Office.

"Hopefully, this land can be used well and according to its intended use to improve services to the public," he added.

He appreciated the collaboration and supported the Jakarta Government to resolve various legal issues in realizing clean, transparent, and accountable governance.

He added several potential risks of legal issues that are of common concern to ensure that development funded by City Budget (APBD) is conducted following the planning and statutory regulations include governance of procurement of goods and services, financial management and assets in regional apparatus, as well as governance of BUMD.

"Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, as the State Attorney provides assistance, consideration and other legal action to regional officials and BUMD, to mitigate potential risks of problems, thus they can provide security and comfort in running development programs, including resolving civil and state administrative law issues inside and outside the court," he added.

Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office Head, Patris Yusrian Jaya, uttered his party welcomed today's signing which was the beginning of a good intention to build Jakarta in law enforcement with the achievement of good government governance.

"We're doing our best to oversee development through an integrated team to optimize and improve the governance of regional revenues originating from regional taxes," he added.

Even, his party had did mapping to anticipate leaks in regional income from taxes.

"The results of data collection showed that it is still very possible for regional revenue in Jakarta to be increased," he closed.
