The inundation in several locations in East Jakarta due to long rain duration on Tuesday night (1/28), started to recede today, Wednesday (1/29) morning.

Some of the evacuated residents are already back

East Jakarta BPBD's Head of the Regional Coordinator Task Force, Sukendar, said heavy rain accompanied by overflowing Ciliwung River triggered inundation at 14 RWs or 27 RTs spread in eight urban villages.

The inundation in several areas receded last night. But the Ciliwung riverbank area is still inundated due to water flow from Bogor, West Java.

"We deployed six personnel and one Landing Craft Rubber Boat to handle the situation and evacuate residents in Cakung Timur," he said, Wednesday (1/29).

According to him, the inundated areas that have receded are on Jalan Pemuda III No. 50, RT 13/02, Rawamangun. The inundation occurred at 9:30 PM by 30 cm of height and receded at 10:30 PM.

Then on Jalan Inspeksi Kayu Tinggi RT 01/03 Cakung Timur. Inundation occurred at 8:12 PM by 20 cm of height and receded at 11:21 PM.

Next on Jalan Layur in front of Penggilingan Public Cemetery, Jati Urban Village. The inundation occurred at 9:20 PM by 30 cm and receded at 2:30 AM. On Jalan Bujana Tirta, Pisangan Timur, inundation occurred at 10:22 PM by 30 cm of height and receded at 2:20 AM.

Meanwhile, the inundated areas due to overflowing Ciliwung River are remain exist in Bidara Cina Urban Village such as on Jalan Tanjung Lengkong Macan RT 05/07. The inundation happened at 10:30 PM by 20 cm and reached 90 cm by 4 AM. It started to recede at 6 AM by 70 cm of height.

Next on Jalan Baiduri Bulan RT 06/11 and RT 12/03. The inundation occurred at 12:42 AM by 45 cm of height and reached 85 cm at 4 AM. It started to recede at 6 AM by 50 cm of height.

Then in Cawang Urban Village, the inundated areas are on Jalan Haji Maliki RW 05 by 20 cm at 9 PM and reached 45 cm at 12:20 AM. Then it started to recede at 6 AM by 15 cm.

Inundation on Jalan Taman Harapan RT 002, 004, 015 RW 03 reached 15 cm of height at 9 PM and went to 40 cm at 12:20 AM. It started to recede at 6 AM by 15 cm.

The water level on Jalan Tanjung Sanyang RT 001, 002, 004, 005, 006, 008, 009 RW 08 at 9 PM was 10 cm and reached 30 cm at 12:20 AM. It started to recede at 6 AM by 10 cm of height.

Meanwhile, the inundated areas in Cililitan Urban Village were on Jalan Musholla Al Hikmah RT 06/07. The inundation occurred at 8 PM by 20 cm of height and reached 60 cm at 11 PM. It started to recede at 6 AM by 20 cm.

On Jalan Seruni I RT 01/06, the inundation occurred at 8:10 PM by 15 cm and reached 50 cm at 2 AM. It started to recede at 6 AM by 10 cm.

In Cakung Timur Urban Village, the inundation occurred on Jalan Cempaka VI RT 07 and 08 of RW 09 by 60 cm at 9:21 PM and started to recede at 6 AM by 30 cm.

In Rawa Terate Urban Village, the inundation occurred on Jalan Kramayudha Kampung Petukangan RT 10/05 at 10:30 PM by 40 cm and started to recede at 6 AM by 30 cm.

Based on the data, there were 50 residents of RT 07 and 08 of RW 09 Cakung Timur Urban Village evacuated to Al Jihad Mosque.

Then 100 residents of RT 10/02 Cakung Timur were also evacuated to church and mosque near the location.

"Some of the evacuated residents are already back to their houses at 9 AM," he admitted.
