"We're trying our best to overcome or minimize the impact of this flood. Hopefully, the water will recede quickly. Until early morning, we keep continuing to work with the related units," he explained.
Nevertheless, he will still monitor weather developments before determining what steps to take.
"We will continue to maximize our efforts and hopefully the weather will be supportive. If the weather is still extreme, we will modify the weather," he added.
He called on all officials and residents to remain alert to the potential for extreme weather that may still occur, even though the floodwaters have begun to recede in several locations.
