Floodwater in Parts of Jakarta Recede

The heavy rain that hit Jakarta on Tuesday (1/28) up to Wednesday (1/29) made several areas were inundated.

Based on the Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) report on January 30, 2025 at 6 PM, mostly the inundated areas were already recede and some are still being handled.

The free-inundation areas are Rawa Buaya Urban Village (3 RTs), Cengkareng Timur (20 RTs), Sukapura (11 RTs), Duri Kosambi (7 RTs), and Pegadungan (3 RTs). Then Rorotan Urban Village (1 RT), Semper Barat (3 RTs), Pejaten Timur (3 RTs), Cawang (2 RTs), and Cililitan (1 RT).

Then roads that were previously inundated, and now are free of inundation are Jalan Muara Baru in Penjaringan, Jalan Satria Raya in Jelambar, Jalan Kelapa Hybrida Raya and Jalan Pegangsaan Dua (Green Hill).

Jakarta BPBD Agency Implementer Head, Isnawa Adji said his side keeps monitoring the inundated areas and sucking the water together with related agencies.

"We're targeting to recede the remaining inundated areas soon. The logistics have been also distributed to the refugee camps," he said, Thursday (1/30).

Based on the agency data, water is still inundated 25 RTs and one road (Jalan Cakung Cilincing). The water level is vary from 30 to 150 cm.

Refuge camps are still optimized to assist the impacted residents such as in Semper Brarat Urban Village by 1,441 peopl, Cengkareng Barat 189 people, Pegadungan 300 people, Tegal Alur 690 people, Rorotan 500 people.

"BPBD appeals the resident to remain alert with inundation and mantain health in post-flood condition. Residents are able to contact call center 112 for an emergency situation," he stated.
