Menteng and Lapangan Banteng Parks Will Open 24 Hours

End of February 2025, Menteng Park and Lapangan Banteng Park in Central Jakarta will be open for 24 hours.

"Neighborhood parks that operate for 24 hours must be approved by local residents,"

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda conveyed, besides these two parks, her side is also preparing 13 neighborhood parks that will be operated for 24 hours.

She admitted that her side still coordinating with local urban villages, RT/RW administrators, and community leaders around the park, es pecially regarding safety and comfort aspects.

"Neighborhood parks that operate for 24 hours must be approved by local residents," she expressed, Wednesday (2/5).

She hoped that the support of local residents would ensure the security of the park at night and would not be misused by irresponsible parties.

"We will prepare officers to standby, but it can be more optimal with participation of local residents," she said.
