48 Pets Receive Anti-Rabies Vaccination

As many as 48 rabies-transmitting animals owned by residents received anti-rabies vaccination. The vaccination was held at RW 02 Setu secretariat, Cipayung, East Jakarta, Tuesday (2/11).

The vaccinated pets are 43 cats, four dogs, and one monkey

Cipayung Sub-district's Food Security, Marine and Agriculture Implementer Unit Head, Nur Hikmah said the activity was run mobile to ease residents access the vaccination.

"The vaccinated pets are 43 cats, four dogs, and one monkey," she said.

The activity involved one veterinarian of East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency and assisted by Cipayung Sub-district KPKP Implementer Unit.

Setu Urban Village Head, Dwi Widiastuti hopes the program will prevent the spread of rabies in the area.

"We appreciate East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency for providing the program," she stated.

Meanwhile, Gilang Fajar (32), resident living at RT 05/01, admitted the program helped him to give vaccination for his nine cats.

"It eases us to access the vaccination, and it is also free," he admitted.
