Road Repairs Become Priority Proposal for Harapan Island People at Musrenbang

Repairing damaged roads in the local community has become a priority proposal in the Plenary Session of the 2025 Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) in Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district, Seribu Islands.

This year's proposal focuses on infrastructure development

Harapan Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Yusuf said that in the 2025 Musrenbang, there were 28 proposals consisting of 10 template proposals that cover physical, non-physical, goods, and 18 direct proposals.

"This year's proposal focuses on infrastructure development such as repairing damaged roads in three neighborhood units," he expressed, Wednesday (2/12).

He explained road repairs must be proposed at the Musrenbang, thus they can be followed up as soon as possible, as the rainy season is one of the conditions that affects roads to deteriorate quickly.

As for non-physical development, this focused on community empowerment through proposals for conducting job and entrepreneurship skills training.

"Culinary and diving training is important, as Harapan Island is a tourist destination," he explained.

North Seribu Islands Sub-district Economy and Development Section Head, Adi Apando ensured, all proposals would be monitored to the district level for further attention.

Hopefully, the development program would be more targeted and have a real impact on the welfare of the residents.

"We will continue to coordinate, thus the proposals received can be realized following the needs of the residents," he added.

The aspirations in the 2025 Musrenbang received appreciation from one of the residents in RW 02, Harapan Island Urban Village, Sulaeman (42).

"Hopefully, the damaged roads can be repaired to make resident activities smoother," he stated.
