BPBD: Extreme Weather on February 17-19, 2025

Jakarta Provincial Government through Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) reminded the residents about extreme weather on February 17-19, 2025.

Based on data of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), medium to heavy rain is predicted to fall in Jakarta.

Acting Jakarta BPBD Implementer Head, Maruli Sijabat appealed the residents to remain aware and anticipate the impact of extreme weather.

"We appeal the residents to always monitor the information and increase the awareness to face flood, inundation, and strong wind," he said, Tuesday (2/18).

Jakarta BPBD also invites resident to actively play role in disaster mitigation with the following steps:

- Monitor water levels on website bpbd.jakarta.go.id/waterlevel.

- Download the flood preparedness guidebook at tiny.cc/bukusakusigabanjir.

- Report potential inundation or flood via the JAKI application or the website pantaubanjir.jakarta.go.id.

"Please contact Jakarta Siaga 112 call center for an emergency situation. The service is standby for 24 hours," he stated.
