Ciliwung River dredging work on Jalan Pos, Pasar Baru Urban Village is carried out along 186 meters. While dredging work on Jalan Pejambon I Gambir Urban Village is carried out around 217 meters.
"It involves 30 personnel with support in form of excavators and 15 dump trucks with capacity of 6 cubic meters," she explained.
She hopes the dredging would smoothen the water flow and increase the capacity of Ciliwung River so that it could prevent inundation when heavy rain falls for a long time.
Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Adrian Mara Maulana added, after dredging on Jalan Pos is completed, the second stage will be carried out along 1,100 meters from Jalan Pos to Jalan Samanhudi Bridge.
"We plan to start the second segment in June and finish in December 2025," he conveyed.
