In this activity, participants learned various important topics, including Strengthening the Tourism Industry during Ramadan, Hotel and Restaurant Business Operating Hours, Security Alert for Tourism Businesses, Prevention of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) in the Tourism Sector, and Fire Anticipation and Prevention in Business Places.

Apart from the lecture, the event was also followed by a discussion and question and answer session. Business actors were given the opportunity to convey their aspirations, challenges, and input on policies that will be implemented during Ramadan.

Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head, Andhika Permata said, this coaching is a routine annual agenda to create a conducive Ramadan. He conveyed the importance of coordination between the government, business actors and security forces to ensure that tourism businesses continue to run smoothly and in accordance with applicable regulations.

"We invite various stakeholders, starting from the Ministry of Tourism, Polda Metro Jaya, entertainment business associations in DKI Jakarta, and related OPDs. The goal is to have a fruitful discussion resulting in a mutual agreement, so that tourism business operations during Ramadan can run smoothly," he expressed, Wednesday (2/26).

He explained, the policy applied still refers to the Minister of Tourism Regulation, Regional Regulation (Perda), and Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) which regulates the operation of tourism businesses. He assessed that input from business actors is still needed to develop more applicable regulations.

"We need feedback from stakeholders, so the right policy can be applied in relation to entertainment and tourism businesses during Ramadan," he uttered.

Andhika stated that Jakarta Parekraf Agency will issue a Circular Letter (SE) regulating tourism business operations during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr as a follow-up to this activity.

The Circular Letter will include regulations regarding business hours, as well as other provisions aimed at maintaining public order and comfort during the holy month.

"A Circular Letter from the Parekraf Agency Head will be issued soon after this discussion is over. It will regulate business operations, including things that are prohibited, such as the circulation of alcoholic beverages and others," he added.

He hopes that business players will remain eager to run their businesses while prioritizing the values of tolerance and compliance with the regulations.

On that occasion, he also mentioned that Jakarta's five-century celebration is a momentum for the tourism industry to improve its service quality, especially in providing a positive cultural experience for tourists.

“We hope that tourism business players remain enthusiastic and respect the holy month of Ramadan by maintaining tolerance for religious celebrations. Furthermore, during Eid holiday, we hope that business players can give a good impression to visitors coming to Jakarta,” he concluded.
