Joint Personnel Clean Post-flood Mud in Kampung Melayu and Bidara Cina

Hundreds of joint personnel were deployed to clean post-flood garbage and mud in Kampung Melayu and Bidara Cina Urban Villages, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta.

Jatinegara District Head, Muchtar Saleh said the post-flood handling in Kampung Melayu Urban Village was focused at residential of RW 01, 02, 03, 04 and RW 08. Then in Bidara Cina Urban Village was focused on Jalan Tanjung Lengkong, RW 07.

"Pelangi taskforce personnel in Jatinegara District were deployed to clean mud and garbage," he said, Wednesday (3/5).

He added that the activity was run to prevent disease that can hit the residents.

"We're targeting to clean the garbage and mud fully today if the water already recedes," he added.

Meanwhile, Jatinegara District's Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Robi Triawan stated flood on Jalan Jatinegara Barat, RW 02, 03, 08, and parts of RW 04 of Kampung Melayu Urban Village is already recede.

"Up to 11 AM, there was still inundation in several areas in Kampung Melayu and Bidara Cina Urban Villages," he stated.

Two mobile pumps namely water mist and one fire pump were deployed to handle inundation in Kampung Pulo, Kampung Melayu Urban Village.

"All five stationary pumps were operated, and we also involved 50 Blue Taskforce personnel," he added.
