"Later, we will evaluate flood handling measures together,"
According to her, several measures taken by SDA Agency to anticipate flooding, such as dredging rivers, water channels, and reservoirs, as well as building crossing channels and new water channels are worthy of appreciation because their benefits are widely felt by residents.
Aerial Inspection: Gov Pramono Inspects Flood-stricken Areas"Inundation and flooding that occurred in multiple locations in recent days were caused by overflowing river which sent from buffer areas of Jakarta, such as Bogor and Depok, as well as high rainfall. This will be a material for comprehensive evaluation in the future," she mentioned, Thursday (3/6).
Yuke expected that the Jakarta Government would continue to strengthen its coordination with central government to complete the river normalization program.
She conveyed that her side would hold a follow-up meeting with SDA Agency to discuss about flood handling, including the additional blue troops personnel to be assigned at new pump houses and reservoirs.
"We will ask for data on the ideal needs of blue troops, because some personnel are assigned only to guard the pump house," she said.
In addition, Yuke also visited Sukamahi and Ciawi Reservoirs which control water entering Jakarta. The result of this visit would be discussed during the meeting with SDA Agency.
"Later, we will evaluate flood handling measures together," she stated.
