1,000 Cheap Staple Food Packages Sold at Johar Baru Sport Hall

Central Jakarta Administration cooperated with State Electricity Company (PLN)'s Main Distribution Unit (UID) of Greater Jakarta sold 1,000 cheap staple food packages at Johar Baru Sport Hall.

Residents only pay Rp 50,000 to get a package worth Rp 135,000

The activity initiated by State Electricity Company (PLN)'s Main Distribution Unit (UID) of Greater Jakarta was appreciated by Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin. He assessed this activity helps the residents to meet their staple food needs ahead of Eid.

"Residents only pay Rp 50,000 to get a package worth Rp 135,000," Arifin said, Friday (3/14).

General Manager of State Electricity Company (PLN)'s Main Distribution Unit (UID) of Greater Jakarta, Lasiran stated his side targeted Johar Baru Urban Village since the area is a dense population.

"The location is chosen based on Central Jakarta Mayor's recommendation," he stated.

Lasiran added that his side also provides free homecoming activity via train and bus. Residents are able to register via PLN Mobile to depart om March 26 and 27, 2025.

The company, he continued, has constructed 100 toilets for North Jakarta residents as its CSR responsibility.

"We're ready to cooperate through CSR program to support Jakarta as a global city," he explained.

Meanwhile, Yustinua (56), resident of Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta admitted happy with the program of cheap staple food packages.

"We can get rice, cooking pil, sardine and instant noodle by only Rp 50,000," she admitted.
