Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung is about to lead the Grand Harvest from the urban farming land on Jalan Raya Pulogebang, RT 12/06, Pulogebang Urban Village, Cakung Sub-district, East Jakarta on Wednesday (3/19).

To smoothen it, the East Jakarta Acting Mayor, Iin Mutmainnah, conducted a review on site while being accompanied by Development Economics Assistant, Fauzi and East Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) Head, Taufik Yulianto.

East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Taufik Yulianto stated urban farming at the location was conducted on land covering approximately 12,567 square meters equipped with three greenhouses and nutrient pools.

"This greenhouse is planted with 600 chili seedlings using the Internet of Things (IoT) technology touch method," he expressed, Tuesday (3/18).

He explained the implementation of the simultaneous harvest was initiated by the Jakarta KPKP Agency by inviting the Governor, Pramono and  Jakarta TP PKK Chairwoman, Heni Pramono.

"We're grateful that East Jakarta will be hosting the Grand Harvest tomorrow," he explained.

According to him, the first harvest at the simultaneous harvest location of the Governor was expected to yield 15 kilograms of chili tomorrow.

"For a period of one year, this location can produce a chili harvest of about 950 kilograms," he explained.

He added the simultaneous harvest tomorrow would be conducted hybridly in Jakarta with a total of 100 harvest locations, including urban farming in residential areas, farmer groups, RPTRA, office buildings, under the toll road, and others.

"This urban farming is very important for maintaining food security and fulfilling family nutrition," he stated.
