"They (farmers) plant Pakcoy on two hydroponic racks using their yard," she expressed, Monday (1/6).

She explained Pakcoy was planted on a 1.5-meter-long hydroponic rack in a seven square meter yard of a resident's house.

She hoped that this harvest further motivated residents to intensify urban farming by using limited land to plant productive crops.

"This can also help meet family nutritional needs and reduce stunting rates in Seribu Islands," she asserted.

Pramuka Island Women Farmers Group Hijau Lestari Chair, Nurlela admitted the vegetable harvest was marketed to residents at a price of Rp 25,000 per kilogram and Rp 5,000 per bundle. Part of the sales proceeds were used for operations and buying back seeds.

"We will also plant kale and mustard greens," she said.
