The sterilization held at KPKP Agency's Training Center (UPT Center for Promotion) and Agricultural Product Certification Building, Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Klender, was attended by Acting East Jakarta Mayor, Iin Mutmainnah, and East Jakarta Assistant of Economy and Development, Fauzi.
Iin appreciated and thanked the East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency and stakeholder for handling the cat population.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Taufik Yulianto said the sterilization was held in two locations namely Klender Training Center (UPT Center for Promotion) and Agricultural Product Certification Building by 100 male cats.
Then also in Rawamangun, sterilization held by KPKP Agency together with community, by 100 cats. Sterilization in Rawamangun is held from March 18-20, 2025.
"We remain control cat population even though we received MURI record for the most cat sterilization," he said.
According to him, sterilization is carried out on stray cats and those kept by residents. The Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) method is used for stray cats. This means that the cat is caught and then returned to its original place after being sterilized.
"Then for pet cats, the owner must register via link on East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency account. It's free of charge," he added.
