Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin attended the Regional Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) for the 2026 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (3/21).

According to him, Jakarta, as the center of the national economy, still faces challenges such as flooding, traffic jam, and social welfare. Besides, the economy is also an issue that needs to be addressed seriously by the Jakarta Government.

"In this context, Musrenbang becomes a very important forum as a means for all of us to formulate the policies needed by the community," he expressed.

He explained that the role of the Jakarta City Council in Musrenbang ensured that community aspirations could be accommodated in regional development policies.

"The preparation of the regional work plan plays a strategic role in the development of Jakarta. The RKPD is an annual planning document that serves as the basis for the preparation of the City Budget (APBD). The RKPD also serves as an important instrument in directing development programs and activities to align with the established priorities," he explained.

He continued the Jakarta City Council plays a strategic role in providing input in the form of recesses from leaders and members. Hopefully, there would be an integration of regional development that will be discussed in the city-level to provincial Musrenbang.

"RKPD is not just a formality but is important in conveying the voices of the community to the executive. We emphasize that the results of the recess must receive serious attention and be accommodated in the Jakarta APBD so that they do not become mere notes without any realization," he asserted.

Then he highlighted the issue of the narrowing of Jalan Fatmawati to One Bel Park Mall for a distance of 350 meters. He hoped, the road widening could be executed next year.

He also appreciated the mayors and regents who have incorporated the City Council's aspirations into the Musrenbang forum. He reminded that recommendations from each region are very valuable in formulating development policies based on the needs of the community.

"I want to fully support the Governor. We're ready to synergize and cooperate to oversee the work programs for the welfare of Jakarta people," he closed.
